Status of Affordable Care Act.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is a landmark U.S. federal statute signed into law by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010. The individual mandate requires required consumers and their dependents to have health insurance or pay a penalty. The law currently remains in effect.

An entity only needs one TCC to transmit ACA information returns. This TCC is used for all the ACA forms that the entity is required to file.
