Import 1099-A Data
This page shows the order of data used for importing data into IRS Form 1099-A software.
Each column has to be read in the correct sequence. The 1st column on your data identifies
whether this information return is Void. The 2nd column has a value for Corrected and so
forth following in the order below for the 1099-A:
Void (1 means checked, 0 means unchecked)

Lender City
Lender State (use the 2-character abbreviation)
Lender Zip
Lender Phone
Lender TIN
Borrower TIN
Borrower Name
Borrower Address
Borrower City
Borrower State (use the 2-character abbreviation)

A_1 // date of lender's acquisition
A_2 // balance of principal outstanding
A_4 // fair market value

A_6 // description of property
Type of TIN is taken from the TIN itself. If the TIN contains one dash (-), then the TIN type
is an EIN. If the TIN contains two dashes, then the TIN type is a SSN. Otherwise the TIN is
identified as unknown.
